UV printing is a type of digital printing that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to cure or dry the ink as it's printed. This method is different from traditional printing, where solvents in the ink evaporate into the air or are absorbed into the substrate (the material being printed on).

Here’s how UV printing works:

1. Application of Ink: The printer applies specially formulated UV ink to the material (such as paper, plastic, glass, metal, or wood).
2. Instant Curing with UV Light: Instead of letting the ink dry naturally, UV light is immediately applied to the ink. This light causes a chemical reaction that cures (hardens) the ink instantly.
3. Result: The ink is dried almost instantly, producing sharp, vivid, and high-quality prints. Since the ink doesn't spread out or absorb into the material, UV printing can produce very detailed images.
