Training at Roland in Willich:
Gaining in-depth knowledge of UV printers and their applications
On November 7, 2024, Mattice and Jan Libbrecht had the opportunity to attend a valuable training session at Roland’s headquarters in Willich, Germany. The entire day was focused on Roland’s advanced UV printers and their wide range of applications. As a company committed to providing top-quality print solutions, this training was an invaluable opportunity to deepen our knowledge and discover new techniques that will help us serve our clients even better.
The training primarily centered around Roland’s UV printers, which are renowned for their precision, versatility, and durability. UV printers can print on a variety of materials, including more challenging surfaces like glass, metal, and wood, making them ideal for a wide range of applications in both graphic and industrial sectors.
One of the key topics covered during the training was Roland’s roll-to-roll UV printers. These printers offer a unique combination of speed, quality, and flexibility, making them perfect for large-format printing on flexible media such as banners, flags, and posters.
The training provided us not only with technical specifications but also with insights on how to maximize the efficiency of these printers in different production environments. It was extremely valuable to learn how Roland’s latest models can improve productivity while maintaining exceptional color consistency and durability across large print runs.
In addition to the roll-to-roll printers, we also explored Roland’s flatbed printers, which offer the ability to print directly onto a wide range of materials – from traditional media to more rigid substrates such as acrylic, wood, and metal.
The training helped us understand the full potential of these versatile machines and how they can be used for customized projects that elevate a client’s creativity. We focused on understanding printer settings, selecting the right inks, and fine-tuning print quality to ensure the best possible results for each unique job.
What made this training so valuable was the hands-on approach and the opportunity to learn directly from Roland’s experts. Mattice and Jan returned with a wealth of new knowledge that goes beyond the technical aspects of UV print technology – it also provided insights into how we can apply this technology more effectively for our clients. From maintenance tips to creative possibilities with different materials, the training gave us new tools to enhance our service and product offerings.
With the knowledge gained from this training, we are now even better equipped to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether it's creating stunning visuals for retail environments, developing customized products, or printing on challenging materials, we now have the expertise to tackle any project.
At AdFortem, we are always looking for ways to expand our skills and knowledge so that we can embrace the latest innovations and provide our clients with the best possible solutions. Thanks to the training at Roland, we are now better prepared to fully harness the power of UV print technology and continue delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.
We would like to extend our thanks to Roland for providing such a valuable training session and for the opportunity to collaborate with experts who helped us take our skills to the next level.
